As a fifth-generation Cochise County rancher, farmer, and businessman, Jacob learned the meaning of hard work at an early age. This unique experience on the farm, ranch, and in the community taught him to apply common-sense solutions to every problem he has faced. With this experience, he is armed to tackle the county’s current issues head-on.

As a husband, father and grandfather, he hopes to leave a better Cochise County for future generations.

Jacob has served on the “front line’ in Cochise County for over 20 years.

Jacob recently retired after 20 years serving Cochise County with the sheriff’s office. The last ten years as part of the Ranch Patrol/Sabre Team, concentrating on issues ranging from livestock to border issues. He has testified in congressional hearings on the border and was instrumental in securing over 50 million dollars in grant funding to keep our communities safe.


Jacob was also the search and rescue coordinator and SWAT & Crisis negotiator with the Sheriff’s Office. This extensive experience helped him understand the geography of Cochise County and how to find solutions when tensions are at their highest.


Jacob’s unwavering service to Cochise County has enabled him to build multiple relationships throughout the county and the entire state. He has the insight and connections to get things done.

Jacob is the independent candidate who “steps up” when the community needs him.

Stepped up for Border and Water Issues when he represented Cochise County and testified at the the State & Federal Congressional hearings.

Stepped up for Ranchers as a Board Member of the Cochise Graham Cattle Growers Association.

Stepped up for Education as the President of the St. David School Board.

Stepped up for Water as he worked with Pomerene Water Users Association to join St. David irrigation district in the San Pedro Adjudication.

Stepped up for our Kids as a Boy Scouts leader and Little League coach.

Stepped up for our Western Heritage as his wife and Jacob rescued and renovated the Mescal Movie Set when it was scheduled for demolition.
